Send files straight to your computer.

That photo on your phone, that PDF someone just sent you — get it onto the computer you're controlling without email, cloud drives, or cables. Remio sends files over the same encrypted session as your stream: pick a file, watch the progress, and it lands in the remote computer's Downloads → Remio folder.

Connect → tap the file button in the streaming toolbar → pick a file (up to 2 GB) → it appears in Downloads/Remio on the remote computer. On a Mac host, Finder even opens to show it.

How to send, from each device

FromHow
iPhone / iPadWhile connected, open the streaming toolbar and tap the file transfer button. Pick photos, documents, or any file from the Files app — up to 2 GB each — and send. Progress shows right in the session.
AndroidOpen the toolbar's file button and pick any file on your phone. Live progress appears in the session. Available on direct connections (the usual case at home or the office).
Windows PCUse the Send file control in the streaming toolbar to push a file from your PC to the remote computer.
MacFile transfer from the Mac client is on its way — dragging a file from Finder straight onto the streaming window. Watch the changelog.

Where files land

Every transferred file arrives in a Remio folder inside the remote computer's Downloads directory — one predictable place, never scattered across the desktop. On a Mac host, Finder automatically reveals the file the moment it finishes, so it is one drag away from wherever you need it.

Private by design

What about pulling files back?

Today transfer is one direction: from the device in your hand to the computer you're controlling. Two-way transfer is on the roadmap — until it ships, the quickest workaround is to email the file to yourself from the remote machine, or drop it into any cloud folder you already sync.

FAQ

What file types can I send?

Any type — photos, videos, documents, archives, installers. The limit is size (2 GB per file from iPhone and iPad), not format.

Can I send multiple files at once?

Send them one after another — each shows its own progress. For a big batch, zipping first is faster: one stream, one progress bar.

Does it work over the internet, away from the host?

Yes, whenever the session can reach the host — which is exactly when you can stream it. On iPhone, iPad, and Windows it also works through the relay; Android currently needs the direct path.

Can the remote computer send files back to me?

Not yet — two-way transfer is on the roadmap. Today, files flow from your device to the computer.
