Remio comes in two parts.

The Host runs on the computer you want to reach. The Client runs on the device in your hand. Install both, scan a QR code, and you're in.

Step 1 · Remio Host

On the computer you want to control

The Host shares the screen and takes your input. Install it on the Mac, Windows PC, or Linux machine you'll be connecting to.

On Linux: make the AppImage executable (chmod +x) and run it — works on Ubuntu 22.04+, Debian 12+, Fedora 36+, Arch and most others, on X11 or Wayland. Prefer a package manager? Native .deb, .rpm, Arch and Flatpak packages, plus Raspberry Pi builds, are under Power users below.

Power users — winget · Linux packages (.deb · .rpm · Arch · Flatpak) · SHA-256 · "Windows protected your PC" · older builds
winget winget install Remio.RemioHost

If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC": click More infoRun anyway. We are a small team and Microsoft's reputation system requires expensive certificates to skip that screen — we are on the path. Your download is signed end-to-end so auto-updates can verify it came from us. The winget command above skips the warning entirely.

Linux packages: prefer a package manager over the AppImage? Every package below installs the same app, registers a desktop launcher and a background service, and uninstalls cleanly with the same package manager.

Debian 12+ · Ubuntu 22.04+ · Mint · Pop!_OS (.deb): Download the .deb, then sudo apt install ./Remio-Host-Linux-amd64.deb.

Fedora 36+ · RHEL/Alma/Rocky 9.1+ · openSUSE (.rpm): Download the .rpm, then sudo dnf install ./Remio-Host-Linux-x86_64.rpm — on openSUSE: sudo zypper install ./Remio-Host-Linux-x86_64.rpm.

Arch · Manjaro · EndeavourOS: Download the package, then sudo pacman -U ./Remio-Host-Linux-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst.

Flatpak (any distro): Download the bundle, then flatpak install ./Remio-Host-Linux-x86_64.flatpak — the freedesktop runtime is pulled from Flathub automatically.

Quick start

Up and running in under a minute.

No account. No cloud round-trip. No setup wizard. Install, scan, connect.

Download and install

Download the Remio Host installer for macOS, Windows, or Linux. Double-click to install — no dragging, no setup wizards.

02

Scan and pair

Open Remio on your phone or tablet and scan the QR code on the host. Pairing happens instantly, encrypted end-to-end with a six-digit code as the second factor.

03

You are connected

Full desktop streaming at up to 4K 60 fps. Touch, keyboard, mouse, gamepad — everything just works.

System requirements

Runs on what you already have.

Remio is lightweight by design — if your device was made in the last few years, you're good. Any Wi-Fi or LAN works; 5 Mbps is enough, 20+ recommended for 4K 60 fps.
